First off, I just want to thank you for taking the time to find out a little bit more about me. My overall purpose is to bring joy to my users. I want my users to know that my passion and love is manifested in every line of code I write. Okay, maybe that is a bit treacly but it is entirely true. I do this in my spare time late in the night when everyone has gone to sleep and on the oh so precious weekends. However, my mind is always churning and turning every new experience into a new app idea or game. I will only stop once my creativity is stultified. So again, I just want to thank you for taking the time to read about me! I look forward to your support and greatly appreciate feedback in all forms. I also love the excitement of seeing a new download, like or view. My wife gets so tickled at my pleasure. That is just one of my many joys in this journey :)
Life theme - Work Hard, Play Hard, keeping partying like it's your job.
Well, there isn't much more to say here. I love my family, learning and coding. I used to love video games but there are only so many hours during the day and unfortuntately the body needs nurishment and rest. I also have a day job that I enjoy, so my time is very limited. At this point I would rather day dream and create fun games than play games.
There will be no Call of Duty type releases from this publisher. All graphics are created by myself or acquired from © Graphics Factory.com. I create the sounds and music as well using a combination of tools such as Garageband and Audacity. My games will be the gaming equivalent to Ed Wood movies. I like to refer to them as ersatz-apps ;p This doesn't bother me because I accept my limitations and I really love what I do.
It was always a dream of mine to create games like "Castlevania", "Dragon's Quest" and "Ultima Online". I remember at my first real job, a coworker and I would talk about what "Ultima Online" and "Grand Theft Auto" would be like in 3D. We talked about learning game programming together but it just never materalized. As it happens in life, we both went down separate roads.
I was an Accounting major at the time but shortly after seeing the movie "Hackers" and reading through a C++ book I purchased at a local community college I decided to switch to Computer Science. It was the best decision ever. I love everything I do now. I love being creative, I love problem solving and I get to do both and more in my day job. As an added bonus, I have a hobby/business making games and apps. I have notebooks of ideas, so I don't plan on slowing down. My only limitation is time and in some instances ability. I don't do animation or artwork but I have a nice library built up for when I have the time to learn.
Life theme part II- There's a lot of living I've got to do. Give me time to make a few dreams come true. Flaming star!
